How to Pack Fragile Items Safely

Fragile items need extra preparation so they survive loading, transport and unloading without damage.
Use the right materials
Wrap individual items in bubble wrap or packing paper before placing them in a box. Use dividers or extra padding for glassware and stemware.
Pack heavier items at the bottom
In any box, place heavier and sturdier items at the bottom, with lighter and more fragile items on top, padded on all sides.
Label clearly
Mark boxes containing fragile items clearly so they are handled and stacked appropriately during loading and unloading.
Electronics
Where possible, use original boxes for electronics. Otherwise, wrap screens and cover ports before packing in a snug, padded box.
